"Green" Eggs and Ham on Ciabatta

My plans for writing up a cutesy little ditty with Dr. Suess references has been foiled by a recent development.  If you're a blogger, you probably know there's a button that allows you to view traffic, referencing websites, and search terms that lead to your humble internet home. I'll click on it occasionally out of curiousness. And also to ensure I'm not linked to websites hawking questionable dietary practices or butt implants.

I do enjoy injecting "bootylicious" into conversation, though.

Anyways, back to the crux of my concern. Scrolling through the search terms revealed a certain someone browsing for "Carolyn naked."

Now, I realize there are probably a billion Carolyn's inhabiting this earth. But my Carolyn is my sister, and the thought that anyone would be looking for her naked is totally grody. Because she is grody. And my sister. Did I mention that already? She's my grody sister whom I love in all of her grodyness.

If you're the "Carolyn naked" searcher, please know this blog is not for you. It's for those who enjoy ham sandwiches with a fried egg and a dollop of pesto. That's who!
"Green" Eggs and Ham on Ciabatta   Serves 1
1 ciabatta roll, split
3 slices deli ham
1 egg
1 t. pesto
Salt and pepper

1.) Spray a small skillet with nonstick spray (or a bit of butter) and place over medium-high heat. Crack in the egg and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the whites are almost set. Add a teaspoon of water and cover, cooking until white is no longer jiggly.
2.) Assemble the sandwich. Place the ham on the bottom of the roll, top with the egg, then add a dollop of pesto. Put the top half of the roll on and eat!

  1. It's hilarious to look through the list of searches people do to find a blog. I love looking through mine, sometimes it's so random!

This sandwich looks delicious, I like the pesto to make it green :-)
